PROGRAM MANAGER (WASHINGTON, DC)

Job Type: Long-term, Temporary (with potential to convert)

Pay Rate: $37.50 per hour

Hours: Full-time

Location: Remote

Duration: April 17, 2023 – April 29, 2024

The Program Manager supports the work of the Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health TA Center (IECMH). S/he will assist the PI with management of project faculty, staff, consultants, or vendors as appropriate to ensure deliverables such as technical assistance, training, and product development. In addition, the Program Manager will be responsible for collection of data related to the project activities, deliverables, and individual accomplishments of project personnel for the purpose of compiling needed weekly, monthly annual reports. S/he will interface with the federal project officer, technical assistance partners and faculty and staff– participating in meetings and conference calls as appropriate.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with technical staff and Project Director to identify and develop resources (i.e., video narratives, toolkits, webinars) to further project aims.
  • Provide overall guidance to the Program Assistant in coordination with the Project Director for all tasks.
  • Develop documents supporting consistent processes for both internal and external communication and function.
  • Assists the Project Director/PI in conceptualization and preparation of significant portions of report writing and grant preparation to include tracking deliverables, coordination of evaluation data and other statistics and relevant information as required.
  • Responsible for monthly reports and quarterly reports of the project’s progress.
  • Contribute to the dissemination and/or marketing of presentations and products through electronic networks, publications, and social media as appropriate.
  • Participate in Center-sponsored meetings assuming various roles of project staff, e.g., presenter, facilitator, moderator, recorder as requested.
  • The Program Manager will manage consultants and vendors as may be required by the team to enhance teaching, training and materials development and ensuring that contracts, purchase orders and invoicing of third parties are managed in accordance with all policies and procedures.
  • Track training, training products, and product deliverables to include coordinating with other national centers, project faculty, consultants, and staff to ensure deliverables and trainings are completed according to the established timelines.
  • Oversee, participate, and lead recurring and ad hoc internal project-related meetings and events. Provide updates and guidance as required.
  • Manage the implementation of assigned projects with a focus on work planning and timely delivery of deliverables.
  • Support the collection and analysis of data and develop written reports in collaboration with the Project Director and Evaluation lead.

Skills and Technical Qualifications or Specialized Certification:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, problem solving and the ability to work well both collaboratively and independently.
  • Strong organizational, management, conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of early childhood mental health and early care and education and Head Start preferred.
  • Computer skills using data communication and webinar technology.
  • Knowledge of state and community service delivery systems and current federal directions.

Academic Level:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Human Services, Public Policy or Social Sciences fields or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in coordinating/managing within an organization. Knowledge of/experience within the field of child health or mental health preferable.
