The Program Manager - Quality & Food Safety is a key role within Mars Wrigley R&D. This role provides strategic leadership and program portfolio management for Q&FS for global initiatives and drives the strategy for Quality across Mars Wrigley. The role leads decision-making for these programs and is accountable for the process of creation, governance, and execution of the program work streams delivering the agreed milestones.

This is a critical role in the functioning of the Segment Quality Leadership teams, using effective and creative approaches to engage, inspire and drive action. This role will be key in ensuring communication, reporting and engagement effectiveness of quality with senior stakeholders.

What are we looking for?

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience with complex business environment.
• Demonstrated success in the management of complex projects executed by complex, preferably cross-functional, globally dispersed, teams, a demonstrated ability in holistic program management, and a demonstrated ability to inspire and influence the stakeholder groups.
• Deep expert in program management and owns the process of providing full detail of the program/project work and required funding in both expenses and staffing.
• Comfortable and effective at establishing and executing in-person and virtual workshops with a variety of stakeholders.
• Strong creativity to engage and inspire to action, leveraging technology where appropriate to improve the effectiveness of working connections.
• Understanding of Quality Management preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance or marketing. Experience or degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Chemistry, etc.) MBA preferred.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Develops and owns the agenda of progress reporting and adherence to plan. Owns the development of escalation procedures allowing to maximize output while minimizing delays and budget under-/overspend.
• Works independently and takes a broad perspective to deploy an objective and rigorous program and portfolio process in support of Q&FS across the Segment.
• Works with the regional and global teams to develop and shape the portfolio of projects, chair the working groups and Quality Leadership Teams to facilitate the articulation of the deliverables and milestones and owns the process of governance of both the relevance as well as the quality of proposed outputs
• Owns strategy creation for Q&FS on multiple time horizons, both present-forward and future-back, leveraging an effective network of internal and external experts.
• Visibly leads the program management office for Q&FS and ensures alignment with overall R&D and business deliverables.
• Oversees the delivery of the Q&FS program and milestones. Leads and governs the progress of project work and owns the process of review meetings. Monitors the financial flows and owns the program tracking and visualization. Works actively with the program functional leads to optimize the collaboration between the work streams, resolve issues and escalate when necessary, and ensure timely course changes when required by circumstances.
