Job Description

Manages and leads external technical representatives in PRCI’s research and development projects. Work within the overall review and support framework of Technical Committees (TC) representing the breadth of the PRCI research and development program and membership interests.


Responsibilities

  • Manage committee research roadmaps and five-year plans. Support “idea sponsors” in all aspects of the development, proposal, funding, and ranking stages.
  • Liaise with external organizations in the coordination of research activities and knowledge transfer of research results.
  • Prepare, distribute and post periodic contract status reports.
  • Collaborate with project teams and research contractors in daily project management including budgets, spending, schedule, execution, and implementation.
  • Plan and execute technical committee and project team meetings per PRCI meeting guidelines.
  • Assist in maintaining the PRCI Pipeline Research Implementation Management Engine (PRIME) including developing custom reports and related notices that improve project management efficiency.
  • Develop documentation for PRCI’s internal contract and project funding processes.
  • Review and resolve contract/ contractor issues when necessary.
  • Facilitate the technical work scope and specify project deliverables.
  • Manage the review, approval, and posting of results.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or the physical sciences or at least three years of proven technical experience in the oil- and -gas industry. Preference awarded to pipeline corrosion experience.
  • At least three years of proven experience working on matters in an engineering or technical field requiring project development, budget development, and project management.
  • PMP certification preferred.


Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Forms, Polls and SharePoint).
  • Excellent oral and written skills with an exceptional ability to communicate and collaborate with staff, colleagues, industry experts, members, and technical representatives.
  • Ability to work independently on a variety of tasks simultaneously, as well as a strong systems orientation and attention to detail.
  • Skillful working with a large and diverse body of native and non-native speakers to reach consensus on complex issues.
