Title: Grant & Program Manager
Position Summary
The Grant & Program Manager will oversee a portfolio of corporate and government issued grants related to LGBTQ+ workplace advocacy, in addition to supporting a number of ongoing programs. The Grants & Program Manager may also be responsible for creating proposals for funding from new potential sources. This role requires strong planning and project management skills, and the ability to understand, gather, synthesize and visualize program data for funders in polished, compelling, and well-written reports and presentations. In addition, the ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work well independently, problem-solve and manage key stakeholder expectations through a service-oriented approach to relationship management. Knowledge of the principles of DEIB, or background working with LGBTQ+ or other historically marginalized communities, would greatly benefit this role.
Reports to: Managing Director, Chief Program and Partnerships Officer
Duties and Responsibilities:
Grant Management - 50%
- Oversees timeline of deliverables to ensure Out & Equal is meeting its obligations and commitments to corporate funders and other key stakeholders pertaining to grant-funded programs.
- Intervenes and escalates potential setbacks as soon as they become apparent for immediate resolution.
- Oversees and fulfills all obligations of grant lifecycle through pre-award, award, and post-award phases.
- Meets regularly with internal stakeholders and external community groups to monitor and facilitate continuous progression of grant work.
- Prepares presentations and provides ongoing and timely reports to corporate funders and other key stakeholders on grant progress.
- Proactively researches and develops proposals for additional grant work based on community need and funder interest.
- Conceptualizes and produces well-written narratives in the form of reports, blogs, newsletter articles, and website content to highlight grant work.
- Evaluates outcomes through surveys, interviews, focus groups and other means and compares against established grant objectives and KPIs.
- Collects, compiles, analyzes, and visualizes qualitative and quantitative data according to principles of research integrity.
Program Management – 50%
- Regularly adjusts content and programs according to feedback and ongoing data analysis as appropriate.
- Develops and oversees the management of a variety of nonprofit programming, including: learning interventions, leadership development initiatives, public education, facilitated discussions, and networking opportunities.
- Serves as principal liaison for select nonprofit programs related to LGBTQ+ workplace advocacy.
- Leverages programming to produce content that meets program objectives while ensuring strategic alignment with organizational strategy, brand, and editorial norms.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s in Non-Profit Management, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Business Communications or similar field
Minimum Experience: Four (4) year relevant experience in grant management

Location: Remote, DC or San Francisco base preferred.

Salary Range:
- Average range in all other areas: $74,807.00-$97,959.00
- Average range in high cost of living areas (CA/DC/NYC):$86,028-$112,652
