Job Description

Job purpose


At AMGA we’re paving the way for medical groups and integrated systems of care to deliver the next level of high-performance health. Under the supervision of the VP, the Program Manager will be responsible for implementing AMGA’s Health Equity (HE) portfolio across the organization and to member organizations. This includes contributing expertise to developing, delivering, and coordinating new innovative key strategic initiatives within the new business unit. This role will also ensure ongoing tracking of HE strategy progress and effectiveness and utilize data to address challenges. The Program Manager will have additional responsibilities that will be wide-ranging and evolve as AMGA delivers on its mission to advance health equity.


Duties and responsibilities


•Manage all activities for this new business unit collaborating with the VP in the development and implementation of core strategies.

•Track all HE programs and initiatives across the organization for increased visibility, participation, and engagement and inclusion, using a cross-functional project management plan to capture deadlines and deliverables to monitor and track progress.

•Participate in identifying, creating, and implementing innovative HE solutions using business understanding, research, and industry insights.

•Outreach to member organizations to gain understanding of their HE initiatives and assess gaps in care. Track all member HE initiatives to identify resources and tools.

•Schedule and facilitate regular team meetings to provide status reports to internal and external stakeholders.

•Perform and oversee a broad range of administrative activities, including scheduling and meeting planning, document creation, and webinars, partner calls, and meetings, presentations; ensures tracking of project participation and meeting minutes; supports the response to project information requests from project partners, and stakeholders.

•Manage select partner and sponsor relations, ensuring benefits and other commitments are delivered as agreed.

•Work collaboratively with the VP and the development teams to identify, cultivate, and secure funding for Health Equity Initiatives.

•Other duties as assigned.

•Reports to Vice President, Population Health Initiatives & Health Equity


Qualifications


•Bachelor’s degree required preferably in related field (healthcare, public health, and marketing).

•A minimum of 5 years of experience managing strategic projects for a national healthcare organization, membership association.

•Project management skills including but not limited to an ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks and projects, document and communicate success, and ensure that all administrative aspects of the collaborative are on track.

•Knowledge of principles of successful project management, population health management, quality improvement, outreach, and multi-stakeholder engagement

•Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to analyze, think critically and stay organized amidst change.

•Position will require some database management skills with ability to produce reports.

•Functions well in a team environment.

•Ability to take initiative, ensure follow through on projects and work as the creative leader within the team.

•Proven ability to organize time and manage diverse activities and meet deadlines.

Position Type: Full-time


Location: Headquarters located in Alexandria, VA. This position is eligible for full time remote (100%) or telework.

Travel: Must be able to travel (10%)
