The ideal candidate has prior experience: designing, building, managing, and transitioning global captives and/or outsourcing programs within a GBS function. This individual is a self-starter, big picture thinker professional who can collaborate, organize, and facilitate project progress across multiple business functions and pick up and run with their assignments. You are a proactive problem solver with an entrepreneurial mindset who is persistently looking for places to improve, is curious, and excited by the work in the field of Global Business Services. You are a true team player looking to learn, share, teach, and grow with the team. You are comfortable with ambiguity and understand that collaboration is a key for top results.

This is a new business function / team and position for Albertsons, and the position will be based in Boise, ID.

Main responsibilities

• Work closely with the Program Management Organization (PMO) within the Center of Excellence to align and adopt project management best practices, including the proficient use of standardized tools, templates, technologies, and methodologies.
• Manage a group of related GBS projects to achieve strategic goals and objectives (6-20).
• Monitor program performance and identify risks and issues.
• Lead and facilitate cross functional meetings, status updates, pipeline planning, resource allocation and the prioritization of critical path activities.
• Develop and maintain program plan for strategic alignment.
• Provide guidance and direction to project managers to ensure project alignment and program objectives.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders to keep them informed and engaged.
• Support Leadership’s long-term strategic vision, plans, and priorities for Global Business Services

What we are searching for

• 5+ years of experience working on large scale initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability working strategically and collaborating across departments,
• Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills
• PgMP (Program Management Professional) preferred.
• Strong financial acumen
• 3+ years of Program Manager experience
• 3+ years of prior experience working with a global business service (GBS) function, preferably consulting-related.
• Bachelor's degree in related Business field
• Well-organized, detail oriented, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; equally skilled at communicating with technical and non-technical audiences; comfortable presenting and speaking to a variety of audiences including co-workers, senior level, and executive-level leaders.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple, dynamic priorities with strong sense of urgency; capable of delivering under pressure; the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meeting all deadlines and expectations.
• Retail industry experience preferred.
• Understanding of lean and process improvement principles (i.e., Lean Six Sigma).
• Experience managing up to five direct reports.
• 8+ years of Project Manager experience
• Demonstrated command of process, management, and finance in support of strategic projects and programs.
• Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Visio
• Willingness to travel periodically internationally and domestically up to 25%
