Program Manager – Youth Therapeutic Respite Program

Position Description: This position provides essential on-site leadership to the Youth Therapeutic Respite Program located in Round Rock. This professional oversees and improves service delivery systems including planning, developing, and implementing respite programming according to program guidelines.

Essential tasks of the Program Manager includes oversight of BTCS and direct care staff performance, adherence to state and agency contracts and guidelines, invoice and credit card statement reconciliation, program reporting, oversight of overall therapeutic interventions, continuous improvement analysis, oversight of data collection and analysis to be used in programming of services, collaborating with staff to ensure continuity of care for children in services, and assisting with all business and administrative functions within the respite unit. This position reports to the Director of Children’s Developmental Services.

Program Description: The Bluebonnet Trails Community Services (BTCS) Youth Therapeutic Respite Program will provide a safe, enriching environment that provides a wraparound approach to offering care coordination, family partner services, and an array of innovative therapies for youth between ages 5-17 years old with behavioral health needs. Evidence-based practices will be implemented in play therapy, sand tray therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy, family therapy, applied behavior analysis, brief-solution focused therapy and more. This 16-bed, 24/7 structured and therapeutic program will focus on the following objectives.

To meet the above objectives, therapeutic and structured services will be provided that include educational, behavioral, and other recovery and trauma-informed focused activities. The treatment team may include Psychiatrist, and other medical providers, Mental Health Professionals, Family Partner, Education Coordinator, Care Coordinator, and Licensed Therapists.

Salary: $34.67 – $40.92/hr

2-years prior crisis experience – $2.00

4-years prior crisis experience – $1.50

Advanced Licensure – $1.00

Master’s degree – $1.00

Bilingual – $0.75

Credentials

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a social science. Minimum of 2 years experience working with children and adolescents in a behavioral health setting. Must have valid Texas Driver’s License and maintain approved driver’s status throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related human services field preferred. Clinical licensure preferred. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Experience with state hospital, residential setting, and/or crisis services systems preferred; management/supervisory experience.
