Program Director
Torrance, CA, USA
On-site; Full-time (9/80 schedule); Permanent
An exciting Program Director opportunity has just arisen! In this role, you will assume responsibility for overseeing onsite operations. Your key focus will involve guiding diverse, cross-functional teams engaged in the design and production of microwave devices
for ground-based, satellite communications and radar, catering to both commercial and DoD clientele.
You will assume a pivotal leadership role encompassing the complete spectrum of development and production initiatives. A comprehensive grasp of technical intricacies, manufacturing nuances, and business operations is essential. Your mandate includes spearheading interdisciplinary teams (Integrated Product Teams), and meticulously assessing deliverables for both technical accuracy and program-wide coherence. Moreover, you will devise and deploy strategies to drive cost and timeline efficiencies, elevate performance benchmarks, and cultivate innovative avenues for future business prospects. By forging seamless alignment between the division and clients, the Program Director will also play a central role in advocating a culture of ongoing enhancement throughout the program's lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Over 10 years of experience leading high-complex aerospace or defense programs
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to successfully direct, motivate, and influence a team using a combination of technical knowledge, teamwork, and people management skills
- Knowledge of earned value, cost, and schedule management and supplier-related issues and activities
- Knowledge of high-reliability space or defense hardware requirements and RF component design, production, and testing
- Ability to successfully manage a wide range and high volume of activity
- Engineering knowledge to develop and coordinate technical portions of proposals, statements of work, and contract specifications
- Ability to perform financial analysis on the program including EAC, ETC, ROS
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- You must hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a US security clearance
- A minimum of bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical area
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to succinctly address complex issues and action plans with the program team, peers, senior management, and customers
