River Point Farms is seeking a Production Shift Manager at our Processing Facility to guide and direct the workforce in achieving goals set to meet customer expectations on all quality attributes and delivery of a food safe product. This position reports to the Plant Manager and must be able to thoroughly communicate all necessary information to their supervisor regarding safety, production, and personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Professionally collaborate with other departments including Sales, FSQA, Production, and Sanitation.
- Promote a positive and cooperative working environment through effective leadership development, regular job-related trainings, and continuous coaching and mentoring of the team.
- Upkeep any industry and professional training, licenses and certifications required to perform job effectively.
- Champion a world-class safety culture and continuous compliance with all company and farm policies.
- Supervise and direct a team to meet or exceed company and customer expectations while promoting and fostering a food safe and employee safe work environment.
- Track and monitor Key Performance Indicators.
- Understand and utilize Continuous Improvement methods to improve upon the status quo.
- Provide daily analysis of shift progress to Plant Manager.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations such as OSHA.
- Bilingual Spanish ability highly desired.
- Ag background and experience a plus.
- Excellent, interpersonal, problem solving, conflict resolution, organizational, and communication skills.
- 3+ years experience in food processing and supervising teams.
- Ability to perform all essential duties on swing shift and work long hours, which may include weekends and/or holidays, to meet business needs.
- Able to work in a refrigerated food processing facility.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Advanced degrees preferred.
