2Nd Shift Production Supervisor

Blackhawk Engineering is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor. The Production Supervisor plans work and supervises production procedures and personnel and ensures attainment of production schedules. Ensures that all production personnel have the proper training and tools to perform their jobs in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner. Drives the continuous improvement process on the floor.

• Schedules service orders, analyzes service parts.
• Directs department to be in compliance with all customer delivery and quality requirements.
• Directs production departments and regulates and coordinates functions of shop.
• Introduces efficient production line methods and initiates and directs procedures to increase company output.
• Directs production operations to be in compliance with all company and division quality operation system requirements.
• Analyzes operations and oversee setups for new jobs.
• Utilize ERP tools to achieve company goals.
• Supervises and trains production employees for growth and development.
• Manages department (area) to achieve goals for productivity, scrap, rework and accident reduction.
• Distributes work orders for machinery and manning requirements.

Skill & Education Requirements

Two-year technical degree level of knowledge with 5 year’s experience in machining environment, 2 years of which have been in a leadership capacity. Working knowledge of blueprint reading, SPC, employee relations, management classes and other related training.
