Job Description

Onward Search needs a Product Manager for an e-commerce client.

As a part of this role, you will collaborate closely with software engineers, designers, customer care operations, data analysts, and product leaders to develop large-scale solutions, revolutionize processes using scientific approaches, gain deep insights into customer needs, and expedite data-driven decision-making. Your key responsibilities will include defining the standards for agent experience and change management while leading a diverse portfolio of projects encompassing various stages of the product lifecycle. These projects may range from initial product ideation (white papers) and product design to conducting time and motion studies, facilitating focus groups, implementing instrumentation, driving transformation, and conducting downstream analysis (dashboards, A/B experiments, etc.).

This is a three month project opportunity located in Boston, MA.

As a Product Manager you’ll:

  • Establish and take ownership of standard processes, reporting mechanisms, and experimentation procedures, promoting data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Analyze crucial product performance metrics, including usage data and customer feedback, to identify areas for improvement and guide future product iterations.
  • Conduct thorough user acceptance testing and end-to-end testing to validate product features, guaranteeing they meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Work closely with tech, product, design, and business stakeholders to define product features and scope projects, while efficiently managing release schedules.
  • Drive program and project delivery by implementing Agile methodologies, ensuring efficient workflows and timely results.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in building and managing custom and third-party systems related to CX/CRM/CS operations, further enhancing our customer experience.
  • Lead a diverse team of professionals from different departments to collaboratively build robust systems and processes that provide seamless access to high-quality and up-to-date product and customer insights.
  • Conduct extensive research and gather valuable user feedback to identify potential new product ideas and features, ensuring we stay ahead in a competitive market.
  • Lead executive-level project document reviews, effectively presenting insights and progress to business and tech leadership.

Skills & Experience needed:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product management or related roles involving the adept management of cross-functional projects while effectively balancing product/business requirements and technical constraints.
  • The ability to abstract complex subjects and effectively communicate with audiences at different leadership levels.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills and technical proficiency in SQL and Advanced Excel, enabling the extraction and utilization of data to identify and tackle ambiguous problems.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business), or equivalent work experience. Master's Degree in business or a quantitative field is preferred.
  • Capable of developing comprehensive strategies that encompass business, operational, and technical aspects.
