Job Purpose and Impact
The Process Safety Specialist will participate in executing strong process safety polices and standards to achieve goal of zero fatalities and serious injuries. In this role, you will apply process safety knowledge to help define, develop, and deploy corporate standards. You will collaborate with a team to help ensure compliance with regional regulatory and company standards, driving continuous improvement of process safety performance and results. Key Accountabilities
Identify risks and lead the development of action plans to improve process safety programs, processes, and systems. Develop strategies to deploy process safety standards and expand process safety expertise and capability. Provide technical, regulatory, and strategic consultation, support and training on process safety and risk management requirements. Execute corporate standards for process safety and risk management. Monitor and analyze leading and lagging metrics to identify areas for improvement. Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience Minimum of four years of related work experience Proficient in North America (incl. Canada) process safety regulations, standards, leading practices, and Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEPs) Knowledge of engineering applications Experience with process safety management systems Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Engineering or related field and a minimum of ten years of experience working in Engineering, technical operations, project management and/or process safety management, consultation Experience working in a multi geographical environment Experience with environmental health and safety management systems Management/supervision experience in Operations or Technical department Certified Process Safety professional through an external professional organization (i.e. ICHEME, CCPS, etc.) Position Information
Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position. Travel is required to cover the area of responsibility (up to 35% of the time). This position is open to remote within the United States and Canada.
