ROLE:
Our client is a mid-market PE fund that invests in companies that are operationally challenged, experiencing an industry or business transition, undergoing a corporate divestiture or managing rapid growth. They generally target enterprise values of $50m up to $400m across Business Support Services, Healthcare, Consumer Products, Consumer Services, Retail, Food, Industrials, Automobiles, Other Vehicles & Parts, Information Technology, Software, Travel & Leisure.
The PE fund is building out an in-house strategy team for their Las Vegas-based business services portfolio company. Reporting into the CEO of the portco and the operating partner at the PE fund, you will lead a small team of 3 and your role would be to focus on the overall strategy & operations, PMO function of this business. This hiring need is immediate, and is intended to be a hybrid role with intermittent travel to Miami, Vegas and London.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Lead, coach and develop team of talented and high-performing PMO Leaders (2 Managers will report to this role)
-Own development and execution of company-wide portfolio of strategy projects, partnering closely with leadership team and where needed, PE sponsor, to create ‘Shared Vision’ and track progress.
-Structure and drive operational and strategic initiatives by developing work plans, gathering and synthesizing relevant data, leading analyses, developing final recommendations and presenting to senior management and cross functional stakeholders.
-Have an ‘owner mentality’ for business reporting – identify key areas of improvement and execute them, own critical reporting and work with the data to flag opportunities or risks to the business.
-Solve business challenges with a strategic and operational lens - scaling best practices across the organization where applicable.
-Help identify, develop, run and maintain any operational processes for the business including optimizing resource allocation across regions, measuring progress against goals, and facilitating materials for weekly management meetings.
-Run proactive governance reviews with the executive team to show progress on initiatives measured on against time, cost and benefit measures.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Bachelor’s degree
-7+ years of experience at Engagement Manager or higher level in a top-tier management consulting firm (Bain, BCG, McKinsey, Accenture, Deloitte, PwC or similar)
-Demonstrable experience of running complex, cross-functional initiatives at scale globally. Ideally, experience of driving value from M&A integration processes
-Demonstrable experience of leading and developing talented teams and engaging with C-suite executives globally
-Data-driven and highly collaborative
-Very comfortable with Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel etc.
-Familiar with complex data analysis using PowerBI
LOCATION:
Flexible. The successful candidate will likely to be located in Miami, but can be located in New York, Washington DC, Atlanta, Baltimore or Pittsburgh. Ideally, somewhere on the east coast with a direct flight option to Miami, Vegas and London.
