Post Production Assistant Jobs

Freeman+Leonard is seeking a Post Production Assistant for an animation company.

This is a full time, hybrid position in Culver City, CA with benefits.

This position will support the production team in the planning, creation, editing, coordination, in-take and distribution of audio/visual materials including, but not limited to: episodic content, feature films, marketing content, and internal review materials (such as screeners or clips). In addition to the above, this position will be tasked with assisting the marketing team in the creation of short form marketing content such as sizzle reels, promos videos, and creating/adding subtitles to various deliverables such as clips, movies, or episodes.

Qualifications:

• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and/or similar Non-Linear Editing systems (e.g. Final Cut)
• Knowledge of anime titles a plus
• Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to multitask
• Experience editing short form content for Broadcast & Promotional purposes
• 2+ Years as an editor or post-production assistant, with experience in the entertainment industry specifically on a Post-Production team.
• Experience with short-form editing, subtitle/closed captions creation, and transcoding.
• Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects is a big plus
• Is up to date on creative trends, best practices, and innovative editing techniques
• Strong working knowledge of post-production workflows and deliverables for various clients and destinations such as; digital platforms, broadcast, and theatrical.
• Proficiency or working knowledge in Google Suite and general office software
• Experience delivering and downloading to and from various FTP portals and systems
• Fluency in Japanese or Spanish a plus

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinate A/V material requests and creation with Production team to ensure smooth workflow and meet deadlines
• Assist in general digital asset management and tracking
• Support both production and marketing teams with various video/audio requests and deliverables to clients and platforms
• Q/C and ingest various deliverables from clients and studios such as: episodic content, films, and promos/trailers
• Support the Production team in the coordination and distribution of all A/V materials both internally and externally

Physical Requirements Include:

• Strength and mobility which accommodates light manual labor including lifting up to 30lb boxes. Occasionally will be tasked with setting up convention display elements, or transporting boxes containing hard drives or other equipment.
• Vision acuity with the ability to distinguish between colors, shades, and brightness in the review of graphic design elements. Ability to see details of objects that are less than a few feet away.

This position will be hybrid schedule in Culver City, CA.

Type of Position:

This position is full-time with competitive salary and benefits (vision, dental insurance). Eligible for health insurance after 90 days. 401K plans and support optional.

Salary Range: $24 - $26.44 /hr
