About The Job


The PMO (Project Management Office) Manager plays a crucial role in our publishing organization, providing structure, guidance, and uniform processes for internal publishing and development teams. As the PMO Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end management of projects and programs, establishing project governance and driving efficiency. Your responsibilities include developing and executing effective project plans, advising senior management on project selection, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Additionally, you will manage the localization process, collaborating with game development teams and external vendors to ensure cultural appropriateness and linguistic accuracy across different regions. You will oversee the delivery of high-quality work within budget and on time, while also maintaining consistency and accuracy through the creation and maintenance of localization glossaries and style guides. Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for localized content in each market will be another key aspect of your role.


Responsibilities


  • Manages full project life cycles end-to-end within integrated, multi-track projects and/or programs, establishing project governance and setting policies, functions, processes, and procedures.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
  • Provides structure, guidance, and uniform processes for internal publishing and development teams, serving as the first point of contact for team-to-team communication.
  • Utilizes SQERT (Scope, Quality, Effort, Risk, Time) to develop and execute effective project plans, advising senior management on project selection based on strategic goals and cost/benefit analysis.
  • Oversees end-to-end localization of video game content, including cultural appropriateness, linguistic accuracy, resource management, vendor coordination, planning, resource allocation, quality assurance, final delivery, glossary and style guide creation, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.


Requirements


  • Proven track record of working closely with game development teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders to coordinate and oversee the localization process, including planning, resource allocation, quality assurance, and final delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage external vendors and agencies, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery of high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear direction, motivate teams, and foster effective team-to-team communication. Strong leadership qualities to provide purpose, guidance, and motivation to teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Project management certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 (Projects in Controlled Environments) can be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with the video game industry, including trends, player preferences, and market dynamics, to facilitate effective localization and decision-making.
  • Strong experience in project management, including end-to-end project lifecycle management, project governance, and establishing efficient processes and procedures.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in localized content. Commitment to delivering high-quality work and upholding industry standards.
  • Proficiency in utilizing project management frameworks, such as SQERT (Scope, Quality, Effort, Risk, Time), to develop and execute project plans effectively. Strategic thinking to align projects with the company's strategic goals and provide sound business cases and cost/benefit analysis.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapt to changing priorities, and effectively resolve challenges and issues that may arise during the localization process.
