What We Need


As a Player Connections Director, you will lead and oversee the development and execution of strategic media frameworks for our titles. You will provide strategic direction, mentorship, and guidance to the connection planning team. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Global Marketing, Player Insights, Growth, Creative Services, Demand Generation and the global media agency, to name a few. As a leader, you will drive innovative and effective media strategies that achieve our marketing & commercial objectives.


As a leader, you will be responsible for shaping the overall direction of the Player connections department. This role will ensure effective implementation of media campaigns over the lifecycle of a title, and oversee the strategic and tactical media changes (paid | owned).


What You Will Do


The Role Will Have a Number Of Key Focuses


2K is looking for a passionate and self-motivated player Connections Director to work alongside the V.P. of Player connections, and the rest of the in-house media & marketing team.
  • Media Integration:
  • Collaborate with the commercial teams, to establish media budgets and oversee their effective allocation to deliver our commercial goals
  • Develop and enhance team members' skills through training and professional development opportunities.
  • Provide strategic leadership and vision for the connection planning team, aligning media strategies with clients' objectives. Oversee the development of media frameworks, ensuring they are innovative, data-driven, and aligned with industry best practices. Stay abreast of emerging media trends, technologies, and market developments to drive continuous improvement in media strategies.
  • Data Analysis and Insights:
  • Team Management and Development:
  • Ensure that data-driven insights are effectively communicated to internal stakeholders.
  • Foster collaboration and effective communication across departments to deliver seamless client experiences.
  • Lead and mentor the Player Connection team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Collaboration and Relationship Management:
  • Collaborate with the Player Connection team to translate insights into effective media strategies and recommendations.
  • Work closely with the creative team to align messaging and creative concepts with media plans.
  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Set goals, provide guidance, and conduct performance evaluations for team members.
  • Build and maintain relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on media strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional media teams, to ensure cohesive and integrated media campaigns.
  • Oversee the analysis of market research, consumer insights, and performance data to generate actionable insights.
  • Commercial Integration
  • Manage the global media agency relationship, ensuring they are an effective media partner, and deliver added value at a global and local level
  • Collaborate with our holding company (Take-Two), on group project and initiatives
  • Have a holistic view of our media investment, and ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and senior management, so as to understand marketing and commercial goals, target audiences and industry dynamics
  • Lead presentations, providing strategic insights, and recommendation to senior stake holders and key planning meetings


Who We Think Will Be a Great Fit


You have an analytical mind with an ability to distil complex projects into actionable items that can be distributed to team members. Clarity of thought is a must. You should have a holistic view of the entire user journey and the impact of interventions at various stages. You should be a solution-oriented, creative problem solver and self-starter with passion and enthusiasm for driving results.


  • Comfortable working with Senior Executives
  • Ability to develop strong, open, and collaborative working relationships by gaining trust to successfully manage and deliver against expectations
  • 9+ years of experience in a media planning/strategy role. Agency experience is a plus but not required.
  • Proven Management experience
  • Self-starter and problem solver
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Consistently exhibit natural curiosity and dynamism.
  • A demonstrated ability to distill complex strategies down to accessible concepts and communicate them to executives.
  • Proven analytical skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $150,000 and $220,000 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
