Manager, Player Rehabilitation Jobs

Golden State Warriors, LLC seeks Manager, Player Rehabilitation (San Francisco, CA). Assist the Team’s medical and training staff in developing and implementing innovative rehabilitation and training programs that build on the latest research and ensure that our players remain injury-free and at their peak performance throughout the NBA season. Oversee the physical rehabilitation process for the Team’s players both during and between NBA seasons. Assist the Team’s training staff in the prevention, evaluation, care and treatment of all athletic injuries sustained by our players, including determining, coordinating, and implementing individualized performance therapy programs and treatment plans for injured athletes. Establish methods and norms with respect to injury treatment and injury prevention care, from a rehabilitation therapy perspective. Maintain close working relationships with all members of the Golden State Warriors medical staff and oversee player’s primary medical care with regards to all forms of rehabilitation treatment and therapy. Develop a range of screening procedures that are specific in nature to each player, to assess and prevent potential injuries, and provide regular indicators on the state of the players’ health and movement capacity and function. Organize, schedule, and implement treatment times for each player in conjunction with the team’s overall training plan on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis. Provide detailed plans for the rehabilitation of any current injuries that players might have. Manage the design, development and implementation of player specific injury prevention programs, and provide detailed instructions for other treatment specialists for the continued prevention and treatment of injuries. Position requires 80-90% domestic and international travel.

Reqts: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy, Physical Therapy, or a related field and 5 years of experience in the position offered or related position, including 5 years of experience with: providing physical therapy assessment and treatments to elite athletes at professional or Olympic level; providing advanced manual therapy and athlete-specific therapeutic exercises; screening for injury prevention and designing and implementing preventative rehabilitation programs; assessment and treatment of injuries and designing and implementing post-injury rehabilitation programs for return to sport, in particular, development of back-specific program rehabilitation programming for athletes; collaboration and integration with multi-disciplinary professionals within the Sports Medicine and Sports Science team; conducting basketball-specific on-court program for athletes to connect court and physiotherapy.
