Job Title: Production Scheduler
The Production Scheduler is responsible for organizing the production schedule for one of our pizza production plants. Their main objective is to optimize efficiency by effectively planning and executing the weekly production plan. They must also ensure customer fill rates and inventory levels are maintained.
Key Responsibilities

• Achieve and maintain targeted inventory levels by SKU and customer, while minimizing the risk of finished goods expiring
• Ensure material requests (MR's) are built in the ERP system at least 5 weeks in advance (rolling)
• Perform various administrative tasks related to finalizing the production schedule
• Create production schedules that minimize changeovers and maximize production availability
• Ensure all processes adhere to RFI's current policies and procedures
• Track schedule compliance and changes by SKU, line, and total on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Maintain discipline by finalizing the production schedule for the next 7 calendar days
• Maintain and monitor Master Data (part numbers, BOMs, vendor cards, etc.) and update essential system planning data to ensure effective future requirements planning in the ERP system
• Validate scheduling rates and other product-related information
• Review the onboarding of new items, schedule plant trials, and coordinate first production runs as necessary
• Proactively identify short-coded finished goods and communicate risks to the sales team
• Collaborate with maintenance and manufacturing management to accommodate preventive maintenance activities
• Communicate with plant operations and procurement teams to address short-term schedule concerns, run order, and priorities
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and Procurement teams to:
• Work with Customer Service to achieve first-time fill rates and meet on-time delivery targets
• Update the ERP system with any changes in product information

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially advanced skills in Excel
• Solid understanding of ERP data flow
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Education And Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in production scheduling
• Working knowledge and experience with MRP/ERP systems
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment
• Must be fluent in English, knowledge of other languages is a plus
