Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Payroll Processing: Accurately process and administer employee payroll in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. This includes calculating salaries, wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
  2. Data Management: Maintain and update payroll information in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) or payroll software. Ensure all employee records are up-to-date and accurately reflect changes, such as new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary adjustments.
  3. Compliance and Regulations: Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local payroll regulations to ensure compliance. Adhere to tax laws, labor regulations, and reporting requirements.
  4. Timekeeping and Attendance: Review and verify timekeeping records to ensure accurate recording of employee hours worked. Address any discrepancies or time-off requests in a timely manner.
  5. Benefits Administration: Coordinate with the HR team to ensure that employee benefits, such as health insurance, retirement contributions, and other deductions, are accurately reflected in payroll.
  6. Issue Resolution: Respond promptly and professionally to payroll-related inquiries from employees and managers. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or payroll issues that may arise.
  7. Reporting: Generate payroll-related reports for internal and external stakeholders as required. This may include payroll summaries, tax reports, and other financial analyses.
  8. Record Keeping: Maintain organized and confidential payroll records, ensuring all documentation is stored securely and accessible for auditing purposes.
  9. Process Improvements: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance and streamline payroll processes, contributing to increased efficiency and accuracy.
  10. Collaborative Support: Work closely with the HR team, finance team, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless coordination and accurate payroll processing.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Familiarity with ADP payroll software.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • CPP or FPC Certification is required
  • Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve payroll-related issues efficiently.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven work experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar payroll processing role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor laws.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with employees and stakeholders.
