The Role


This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative, proactive and FUN Global Finance team as an experienced Payroll Specialist. We are looking for a curious, process driven, go-getter who can administrator and work within our US and Global Payroll functions. The ideal candidate will communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners and can work autonomously as well as with other members of our team.


Reporting to the Global VP of Finance, you will be responsible for:


  • Filing and maintaining Payroll related records
  • Reconciling payroll data prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
  • Working with team on global payroll reviews
  • Other Duties as required
  • Processing bi-weekly payrolls for multi-state employees (exempt and non-exempt), via ADP Workforce Now within the guidance of company policies and procedures
  • Assisting with the development of payroll best practices, guidelines and procedures
  • Reviewing and reconcile local and state taxes and manage state registrations, as needed
  • Ensuring accurate and timely payroll components, including base pay, time entry and overtime calculations, leave of absence and sick leave, health and welfare, statutory and supplemental benefits, payroll taxes, imputed income, W2's, and more
  • Collaborating with payroll system administrator, tax and compliance, as well as human resources and other key stakeholders to provide expertise and support in regard to payroll matters, solving issues and improving processes
  • Working closely with both the accounting and human resources teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll, payroll taxes, deductions, and other related duties
  • Working with Accounting Team to ensure all payroll related general ledger accounting is completed accurately and timely
  • Processing benefit enrollments and terminations
  • Preparing reports and other data necessary to assist with audit and other purposes


Key Qualifications


  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload, multi-task and manage changes in direction
  • Must possess strong analytical and accounting skills with an acute attention to detail
  • Global Payroll experience is a huge plus
  • Extensive payroll software experience; preferably ADP Workforce Now (US) or other Global Platforms
  • Strong understanding of HR data elements and dependencies
  • Ability to maintain sensitive/confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant multi-state payroll work experience
  • Strong ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Experience in labor and payroll tax laws and regulations
  • Ability to import/export large data sets between systems (we use NetSuite as our accounting system)
  • Experience in processing and auditing multi-state payroll
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)


Compensation: 80-90K
