Patient Services Administrator I is responsible for:
- Provides administrative support for Director and Surgical Programs, including special projects, data and financial management, preparation of reports, and leadership support.
- Analyzes, evaluates and prepares recommendations to enhance efficiency and productivity of unit operations.
- Manages daily operational issues for an inpatient surgical unit.
- Is an active member of unit based/program leadership team.
- Supervises, performs and oversees administrative functions of the unit, including preparing and monitoring unit’s operating and capital budgets, maintaining supply and equipment inventory and developing and implementing unit administrative procedures and systems.
- Participates in unit, program and hospital initiatives.
- Selects, trains, supervises and evaluates work of support service personnel.
- Acts as a liaison for internal and external staff, departments, professional organizations, and agencies.
- Prepares and analyzes data related to productivity and efficiency utilizing multiple sources/platforms.
To Qualify, you must have:
- Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, health care administration or related field and a minimum of four years of experience.
- Work requires the analytical skills necessary to resolve problems requiring a professional level of knowledge, to work independently and use skills of judgment and inquiry, and to consistently support and advance overall programmatic and hospital goals and initiatives.
