Performance Contracting is seeking a Part-Time Event Coordinator to join our team at our corporate headquarters in Lenexa, Kansas to support internal events through advanced preparations and event maintenance. This individual will provide event and administrative support for training programs across the company to ensure they operate in a consistent and timely manner. You will be responsible for collaborating and coordinating with program owners to ensure the success of our world-class development programs. Other essential functions include:
Event Support
  • Serve as an event ambassador, attending occasional dinners and evening activities.
  • Prepare event materials, including seating charts, name tags, table tents, agendas, and other items as assigned.
  • Provide logistical support to the field leadership team for events hosted at the Center for Learning & Development, including presentation support and coordination with staff.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and speakers for training events.
  • Assist with training event coordination, including room setup, inventorying supplies, scheduling speakers and other executables, and basic AV support.
  • Assist with offsite field leadership training through packing and shipping materials, regular communication with instructors, and coordination with the event operations team.
  • Create event surveys and polls. Assist with distribution and share results.
Administrative Support
  • Coordinate onboarding tasks, including distribution of guidebooks to hiring managers, gift boxes to new hires, and other tasks as assigned.
  • Serve on Culture Club as administrative and event management support.
The anticipated schedule for this position is 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Mondays, and half days of work Tuesday through Thursday. No weekends required.

Basic Requirements:
  • At least 1 year in a role related hospitality, event support, administrative support, or similar.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Local to the KC metro area.
  • Previous experience with event-management or hosting training seminars.
  • Experience within the construction industry preferred.
