Who we are looking for:


LSI is looking for a Part-Time Support Specialist to join IT Department the at our Corporate Offices in Layton UT.


What you will do:


The IT Specialist provides technical assistance in a variety of areas for LSI. This ranges from helping with technical assistance and support issues to installing and upgrading infrastructure and even helping to identify and execute improvements to LSI’s efficiency and utilization of IT resources. Duties include resolving technical issues, hardware, and software support, setting up workstations, and other tasks supporting LSI Corporate Systems.


Job Responsibilities


  • Assign licenses and provision or deactivate user accounts as necessary.
  • Assistance in tracking hardware inventory.
  • Support the development and deployment of IT initiatives.
  • Consult with users to determine appropriate hardware and software needs.
  • Test compatibility of new programs with existing ones.
  • Maintain system functionality by testing computer components.
  • Train users on new software in person or through a variety of tutorial channels, including self-guided training videos, user manuals, and digital instruction pages, often in collaboration with other team members.
  • Network/telephony diagnostics and support.
  • Physically moving and installing infrastructure such as network cabling, wireless access points, etc.
  • Training in basic program needs as related to Office Software, Teams, PSA Software, and many others.
  • Resolve tickets representing staff-generated requests or problems and troubleshoot workstation related issues to maintain productivity.
  • Prepare reference material for users by drafting operation instructions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Workstation setup and configuration.
  • Oversee conference rooms (Ensure all TVs, cameras, conferencing devices are in constant working order. Also assist users in setting up and using conference room equipment)
  • Document hardware and software updates.


Required Skills/Abilities


  • Highly analytical mindset.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to produce process or system flow diagrams.
  • Ability to document and track actions, issues, and ongoing tasks accurately.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to report common patterns, questions, and other issues to management and recommend solutions for improving and restructuring company procedures.


Required Education And Experience


  • Associate degree, Trade Training or 2 years work experience in information systems, computer science, or relevant field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Experience with software, hardware, telephony, and networks.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – Noon


Must successfully complete a background screen.
