About The Team


We are the team that develops the marketing strategy and execution of paid channels (including Video, Audio, Digital, Search, Social, etc) to meet business goals. We help people discover Zillow and connect them to our tools and services to get them into their next home. Our growing team is customer focused, collaborative, data-informed, and innovative. About The Role


Your mission is to help Zillow Group scale through multi-channel online advertising while delighting customers and helping them get home. Our team is looking for an authority at managing and optimizing SEM with expanded roles across Social & Apps. Over time, there may have the opportunity to grow responsibilities and run other media channels. This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.


In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $70,100.00 - $111,900.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.


In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.


Who you are


In this position you will have the opportunity to:


  • Develop, own & implement SEM campaigns with minimal guidance.
  • Prioritize projects and assess tradeoffs.
  • Proactively communicate performance and project plans to stakeholders.
  • Own large & sophisticated multi-channel campaigns that align with business objectives.
  • Understands rules, regulations, and data ecosystems related to paid marketing and ability to identify and communicate issues when they arise.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to expand and scale our capabilities, improve performance, and test initiatives.
  • Work with external partners and vendors to maintain support and keep up to date on new features and product capabilities.
  • Set strategy and goals while building a workback plan to achieve results.
  • Establish and implement standards on tracking, optimization, reporting and analytics to enhance revenue and ROI.


What we are looking for:


  • Shown ability to plan and implement effective experiments with a strong focus on using the Google Ads Experiments tool.
  • BS degree in Business, Economics, Statistics or related field preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision making across all levels of the organization.
  • The ideal candidate will also have experience across Paid Social & App Download campaigns.
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in SEM including the strategic management and hands-on execution of campaigns with annual budgets exceeding $1M.
  • Intermediate experience with data analysis and visualization using tools like Excel, Tableau, Looker, Google Data Studio, or Google Analytics. SQL proficiency is a plus!
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to synthesize data and analytics from a wide variety of sources into concise, concrete insights and recommendations.
  • Clear grasp of customer perspective within line-of-business and how this perspective relates to larger Zillow Group objectives.
