Position Summary

The Packaging Design Intern will support the Packaging Design team across all brands at e.l.f. Beauty. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the beauty industry while honing your design skills and contributing to the success of a leading beauty company.

Responsibilities:

• Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the Packaging Design team, including organizing samples, maintaining sample library, coordinating shipments and assisting with design documentation

• Mockups and Prototyping: Participate in the development of physical mockups and prototypes to visualize packaging concepts and make necessary refinements

• Learning and Growth: Actively seek feedback from designers and supervisors to enhance your skills and knowledge in packaging design

•Trend Research: stay up-to-date with the latest packaging design trends in the beauty industry, preparing competitive research documentation

• Design Development: collaborate with the Design team to conceptualize packaging designs and graphics for cosmetics and skincare items, as well as brand

• Cross-functional Collaboration: collaborate with Packaging Production, Photo Production, Product Innovation, Product Development, Copy and Project Management teams

• Time Management: Communicate work load between design team leaders from each brand to ensure the success of a project from start to finish while meeting deadlines

Requirements:

•A design portfolio that shows creativity, refined use of typography, and packaging design projects. Beauty/fashion projects a is plus

•Current student or recent graduate in Graphic Design or a related field

•Experience working in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop

•Willingness to support the design team in whatever needs they have

•Ability to learn new workplace applications

•Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and design shifts

•Excellent communication, time management/organizational skills

•A passion for beauty and experience working on other beauty brands is a bonus
