RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Respond to transportation related emergency issues. Provide technical guidance to incident commanders. Participate in or lead investigations. This position must be on call to help to coordinate and assist with DETER incidents.
  • Coordinate with the demand planner to determine appropriate alternatives when there are mismatches with product availability and demand.
  • Supervise bulk PAA supply chain operations.
  • Assure PAA transportation meets required maintenance, technical qualification, regulatory compliance, and oversight of general market conditions.
  • Investigate and resolve Customer complaint resolutions and opportunities for improvement related to Evonik’s PAA transport equipment.
  • Create deliveries, provide paperwork and perform timely post goods issue process for shipments from tolling and warehouse sites to trigger billing to the customer.
  • Provide assistance to Customer Service team, provide solutions with transportation problems occur.
  • First point of contact for PAA bulk carriers troubleshooting equipment.
  • Requisition replenishments of products to meet demand requirements (tollers and warehouses) and make sure product is moving to these facilities.
  • Aid in the development and implementation of new concepts for PAA product storage, handling transportation, providing feasibility and economic analysis for success.
  • Enter data into SAP for supply chain functions and maintain inventory record accuracy and audit accordingly.
  • Manage relationships with third party PAA carriers.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience working with hazardous materials and warehouse management will be considered an asset
  • A strong background of the bulk transportation, including a working knowledge of DOT Regulations, VIK, CDL, and Transport Canada regulations.
  • High school diploma
  • Strong computer skills, especially with SAP(preferred and MS Office programs is an asset
  • Travel is required. The successful applicant must be willing to be on the road at least 1 week per month, would be required to visit warehouses, service providers, etc., multiple times per year.
  • 5 – 10 years logistics management
  • Personal initiative and excellent inter-personal and communications skills are essential, Strong mechanical aptitude, independent, creative.
