The Supervisor Crew Hotel and Transportation (CHAT) invests in the future of Southwest’s People by overseeing the coordination and communication of hotel and transportation arrangements fo r Pilot and Flight Attendant Crews. This role works collaboratively with team s in Crew Scheduling, Network Operations Center ( NOC ) , and Dispatch to develop emergency response plans and solve iss ues impac tin g the operation . Job Summary
Responsible for supervising the daily Crew Ops Hotel and Transportation operation, and assists the Crew Ops Hotel and Transportation Manager through the Leadership, and administration of the Crew Ops Hotel and Transportation program. Maintains oversight of all hotel accommodation needs for Crews both scheduled, and ad hoc, as well as ensuring the communication of all hotel changes.
Responsibilities
Provides Positively Outrageous Service while supporting Crew Operations
Assists in the delivery of projects on-time, on target and on budget
Conducts research and handles special projects as assigned by Director/Manager to support the goals and objectives of the Crew Operations department
Provides guidance and interpretations to Crew Ops Hotel and Transportation Team to ensure all Southwest Airlines Crews are provided hotel accommodations in compliance with Company, contractual and regulatory requirements
Communicates operational updates and impact to the Crew Ops Hotel and Transportation Team
Works in collaboration with NOC, Dispatch, Flight Operations Scheduling, and Inflight Scheduling Leadership to solve issues impacting the Southwest Airlines operation
Works in conjunction with Crew Ops Hotel and Transportation Team to solve operational issues associated with hotel accommodations
Must be able to take the necessary steps and handle an emergency situation
Holds regular 1:1 meetings with Direct Reports
Holds Team accountable to ensure quality assurance standards are being adhered to
Addresses behavioral and/or job related issues with Employees, issuing discipline, if necessary
Responsible for writing and delivering Employee performance evaluations
Conducts department line meetings with Team, when necessary
Must be able to navigate Centricity, phone recording program, to find, listen to and save recordings
Assists with developing, measuring, and implementing department initiatives to ensure consistency with project methodology
Represents Crew Operations Hotel and Transportation Team as directed, on Company committees and during meetings
Ensures training is scheduled for new Employees and verifies ongoing training of current Agents
Assists Leadership in the function of policy and contractual violations, as they pertain to the grievance process
Collaborates directly with Crew Ops Hotel and Transportation Team, Inflight Crew Scheduling, Flight Operations Crew Scheduling, Base Leadership, and Chief Pilots
Conducts research and handles special projects, as assigned by Leadership, to support the goals and objectives of the Department
Assists with developing, measuring, and implementing department initiatives to ensure consistency with project methodology
Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to type and/or use computer keyboard with sufficient speed
Must be able to operate a telephone with sufficient courtesy
Must have good written communication skills
Must be able to master several software packages
Must be able to perform mathematical computations using decimals, hours, and minutes
Must be able to perform extremely detailed tasks with a high degree of accuracy

Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Fully functioning, broad knowledge in:
Customer Service
Crew Scheduling or call center environment
Airline Operations
Collective Bargaining Agreements
Licensing/Certification
Non-DOT
Physical Abilities
Ability to perform work duties from [limited space workstation/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be able to work extended hours as needed including holidays, weekends and nights
Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $84,350 per year to $93,700 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
