Job Description

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team. As a Sales Representative for Cruise San Diego and San Diego Whale Watch, you will be responsible for promoting and selling private charters and events to potential customers. You will be expected to build relationships with clients, negotiate and close sales, and provide excellent customer service.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Meet and exceed sales targets and goals
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the private charter industry and competitors
  • Provide regular reports on sales activity and performance
  • Work with clients to identify their specific charter requirements and tailor packages to suit their needs
  • Actively promote and sell private charters to potential clients
  • Negotiate prices and terms of agreements with clients
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met
  • Attend industry and community events to promote charter offerings and generate leads


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • A strong understanding of the private charter industry, including its products, services, and competitors.
  • Be able to provide exceptional customer service as well as anticipate and address customer needs and concerns.
  • Strong sales skills are essential for a Sales Representative. This includes the ability to identify and qualify leads, build rapport with clients, negotiate deals, and close sales.
  • The ability to manage their time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Be able to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and partners.
  • The ability to adapt to changes and be flexible in your sales approach.
  • Possess persistence and resilience to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
  • Being able to effectively communicate is crucial for this position. You should be able to communicate with clients, colleagues, and management in a clear and concise manner


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must conduct themselves in a professional manner in dress and all communications
  • Must have at least 1 year of cold-calling experience
  • Must be able to interact with others in a friendly and approachable manner
  • Must have at least two years of sales experience
  • Must be compliant with Company’s Drug & Alcohol Policy
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office programs and Google Drive
