Summary:
The Outside Sales Director is responsible for overall sales development within an established territory. Works with customers to find what they want, create solutions, and ensure a smooth sales process. Work is highly independent, cross-functional, and collaborative in nature.
We are looking for an Outside Sales Director to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures customer satisfaction and long-term relationships through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale
- Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems
- Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs
- Pursues sales leads by identifying and executing strategies in order to win the sale and visits customer sites within assigned territory defined by geographic area, industry, and/or product/service segment
- Understands, interprets, and negotiates contracts to support expansion
- Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads; Consistently reach and exceed sales quota targets
- Provides periodic territory sales forecasts
- Provides mentorship and guidance to more junior sales managers
- Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs by delivering highly engaging and effective presentations with an executive presence
- Works cross functionally to ensure position messaging and brand image in all customer communications
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent presentation skills with a strong executive presence
- 6 + years of related experience to reflect skills and talent necessary for this role preferred
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills
- Ability to be successful with work that is highly independent, cross-functional, and collaborative in nature
- Excellent knowledge of outside sales processes and contracts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; a specialist on complex business matters
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Diploma/Degree, or the equivalent Complex enterprise multi-level process consultative sales experience
