Or Equipment Technician I (40 Hours) - Or

The Equipment Technician for the OR will work under the direct supervision of the Clinical Nurse Manager and will be responsible for assisting with patient care and be accountable for establishing, maintaining and coordinating appropriate inventory of equipment utilized by surgical services. The Equipment Tech collaborates with the surgical team to assure all equipment and instrumentation is available/ready for surgical procedures, develops and maintains an inventory of service specific equipment with par levels and location, checks OR schedule 48 and 24 hours beforehand to assure availability of equipment, sets up room for following day with necessary supplies and equipment for the first cases of the next day, maintains a system for care and preventative maintenance of all specialty equipment, communicates equipment out for repair to team and assures replacement as necessary; coordinates a system for new equipment, assists with patient positioning as appropriate, performs table set up and break down duties, assists with opening sterile supplies as appropriate and may assist with patient procedure as second scrub.

40 Hours

Monday-Friday, some rotation to weekend and holidays
