Job Description
Overview

First Citizens Bank is currently seeking an Operations Specialist to support the Commercial Services sector which is one of the nation's leading providers of factoring and financing to consumer product companies. We tailor financial solutions that help companies of all sizes increase sales, improve cash flow, reduce operating expenses and eliminate customer credit losses. Our products include Factoring, Asset Based Loans, Bulk Sale of Accounts Receivable, Receivable Exposure Management and Supply Chain Finance. The Operations Specialist is part of client-facing service team that is responsible for providing clients and internal customers with excellent service and transparency.


Responsibilities


The Operations Specialist's primary responsibility is to ensure the correct execution of the client contract and for processing & reconciling of various automatic/manual transactions appear on client statements and reports. The essential functions of the job include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:

  • Perform confirmations of banking instructions for new and existing clients.
  • Key ACAR cash closeout details into Edifactoring system for Edifactoring portion of the client portfolio.
  • Provides clients and internal customers with accurate and timely information on all aspects of factoring transactions between clients and Commercial Services
  • Perform related duties and special projects as assigned
  • Review and process daily fund transfers for collected fund and maturity clients
  • Post journal entries to client accounts for interest, fees and make various adjustments during intra-month and at month-end in accordance with client contract

Qualifications
    Additional Preferred Qualifications:
    • Intermediate PC skills, Windows environment, word processing, Excel, and email software
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • College degree preferred or minimum of 3 years working experience in related field preferred
    • Preference for candidates to have previous experience and working knowledge of factoring product and services
    • Detail oriented and experience with performing journal reconciliations
