Job Description

Manage terminal operations and ensure flawless execution of all terminal activities as per the organization Safety and Control standards and provide analytical assistance to the Customer Service team.

Responsibilities:

A - BASIC FUNCTIONS

  • Provide analytical assistance to the Operations team.
  • Manage terminal operations and ensure flawless execution of all terminal activities as per the organization Safety and Control standards.

B - Operations

  • Personnel development: train personnel in the required operation areas and develop expertise.
  • Maintain high Customer Service standards
  • Order fulfillment
  • Maintain Operating Expenses within agreed targets: cost reduction in all operations
  • Ensuring flawless operations at all plants and terminals: Loss Prevention System (LPS) stewardship
  • Inventory Management: meet approved Oil Loss Targets
  • Assist in Fleet Optimization.
  • Ensure product availability by effective and efficient scheduling of deliveries.

C - Supply & Distribution Analyst

  • Review of transporter invoices promptly.
  • Assist in preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly Supply and Distribution stewardship reports.
  • Organize Supply and Distribution meetings.

D - Financial Management

  • Consolidate all reporting department’s budget input to formulate department budget and submit to leadership for approval and further consolidation
  • Manage the allocation of budget across the Department to ensure complete adherence and highlight any deviation from the plan in a timely manner and take corrective action as necessary and in line with the approved governance process

E - People Management

  • Formulate workforce planning reports and talent acquisition plan and budgets for the department to ensure adequate staffing for optimal operational smoothness, and submit to the leadership for approval
  • Hold regular meetings with the staff in order to strengthen the social climate; and to improve effectiveness and efficiency at work
  • Monitor performance and give feedback and appraisal reviews on a regular basis to ensure that performance objectives are met
  • Ensure, at the beginning of the year, that employees have been assigned challenging goals and that they are aware of the management expectations, along with set deadlines
  • Promote effective communication on all levels of the organization within the company and with other Corporate functions and Group affiliates
  • Ensure that the staff is provided with the relevant training and materials needed to perform their job effectively and efficiently, in line with their job descriptions
  • Provide guidance to direct reports, mentor and coach them when necessary
  • Identify talent for pivotal roles from a succession management standpoint to ensure business continuity and liaise with HR for enrollment in the necessary program
  • Ensure that any employee has a Job description that reflects the expectations of the management about the position held


Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • University degree in Engineering
  • Loss/Grains Control Management
  • Overall 15 yeas of experience, with 5+ years of experience in a similar managerial role
  • Downstream Oil Business
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Comfort working with multiple groups within business
