Job Description
The Operations Manager is an important role to ensure that our operations meet or exceed customers’ expectations, performance targets, and continuous improvement roadmapWe are looking for a professional Operations Manager to coordinate and oversee our organization’s operations. The Operations Manager's role is mainly to implement the right processes and practices across the organization. The specific duties of an Operations Manager include formulating strategy, improving performance, procuring material and resources, and securing compliance. You should be ready to mentor your team members, find ways to increase the quality of customer service and implement best practices across all levels. Ultimately, we’ll trust you to help us remain compliant, efficient, and profitable during the course of business.
Integrated into our Distribution Center in the Dallas DFW metroplex (Coppell), the Operations Manager manages the logistics operations of a new facility of 105,000sqf, 7 days a week, 2 shifts with around 60 staff.
This Distribution Center provides logistics services to the luxury industry. Services include warehousing, order preparation (retail & e-commerce), VAS services & distribution.
  • Ensure SOP compliance in operations
  • Supervise up to 10 Supervisors in different shifts/teams.
  • Coordinate with customer for prioritization when capacity issues arise
  • Implement and develop strong relationship with clients, act as the main point of contact for our client to ensure order fulfillment and handle issue resolution
  • Support the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring of staff development, performance and progress.
  • Drive continuous improvement within operations to improve operations performance, introduce best practice sharing to ensure optimized operational and highest service level achieved.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy is meeting contractual obligations, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Participate and support the budget preparation and monthly billing to customer
  • Enforce QHSE policies to ensure safe work environment
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly KPI and customer’s reporting requests. Provide analysis and proposal for improvement
  • Prepare reports for management and customers as may be required with recommendations to improve supply chain.
  • Plan daily / weekly / monthly manpower to adapt resource to plan and monitor peak activity.
  • Ensure the required service, quality and efficiency levels are achieved
  • Plan and execute regular meetings with customers (Daily Ops review, Weekly Reviews & Monthly Business reviews)
  • Support the ramp up of the new facility in coordination with the customer, hire employees and provide training, implement processes.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills (frequent interaction with customers & different functions/levels)
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects, effectively manage time and meet deadlines
  • 5 years of warehouse/operations experience
  • Knowledge of budgeting, P&L
  • Process & task oriented
  • Commitment to excellence and strong experience in Operational Excellence and warehouse best practices
  • Good analytical skills and a good understanding of tools & systems supporting the SC process (WMS system)
  • Ability to perform under time pressure
  • Passion, initiative, and result-oriented drive to continuously develop and work with creativity & innovation
