Summary
Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Includes Service Shops. Impacts the team’s ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. The role is subject to operating policy objectives. There is moderate autonomy within the role. Must be able to work onsite daily out of our Aurora, OH location.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Interacts with engineering, maintenance, planning and enabling functions to ensure technical and organizational alignment.
- Lead a culture of respect, accountability, humility, transparency and focus for our employees and guests.
- Recognized as a professional operations expert, leads a complex manufacturing and warehouse operation, regularly influences senior management, and partners with Managing Director to develop and implement system-wide strategic business plans for their manufacturing plant. Position leads people and is responsible for leading plant-manufacturing operations around GE Healthcare imperatives, and meeting all operational defined targets such as safety, quality, delivery, cost, and culture for Coils GE Healthcare plant.
- Responsible for staffing, capacity planning and overall plant operations.
- Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
- Drive manufacturing team towards execution of Business Goals using Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodology.
- Ensure a safe work environment for our employees and guests.
- Drive and ensure effective communication and dialogue with cross-functional teams to ensure technical and organizational alignment.
- Manage and develop Production Team Leaders and staff.
- Responsible for successful execution of complex manufacturing & warehouse processes with a variety of customization to meet customer needs.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
- Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
- In conjunction with Managing Director, drive financial metrics of operations to deliver business results.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years experience with proven leadership in manufacturing or supply chain role
- BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent

- Six Sigma trained with demonstrated ability to apply tools and process rigor.
- MBA or Master Degree.
