Position Summary:

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting the logistics, activities, and administrative needs of the organization, including the Freedom Network USA Training Institute, and the Housing Training and Technical Assistance Project (Housing TTA Project). The Operations Coordinator will manage training and meeting platforms, provide logistical support to program staff, support communication with a diverse group of consultants, track and support technical assistance and training requests, and support communications activities. This position reports to the Housing Project Associate Manager.


Essential Job Functions:

●Support organizational and programmatic meetings by scheduling meetings, gathering and disseminating materials, taking minutes, and archiving all related materials.

●Provide administrative and technical support during online trainings by managing webinar platform settings, troubleshooting tech issues, and recording and disseminating training materials.

●Support program administration, including maintaining a calendar of all past and upcoming meetings and trainings, collecting invoices, and preparing check requests.

●Provide general administrative support such as screening, responding to or forwarding general inquiries by phone and email, sorting and forwarding mail, and making travel arrangements for staff and partners.

●Provide logistical support, including ordering supplies, room set up, and troubleshooting challenges, for in-person organizational events and trainings, including the annual FNUSA conference.

●Coordinate website and social media updates with FNUSA staff and consultants.

●Other related duties as assigned.

Required Experience and Skills:

●Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), G-Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Zoom.

●Comfortable working in a dynamic, growing environment.

●Demonstrated experience or interest in human trafficking, domestic violence, refugee resettlement, sexual assault, or other related fields.

●Personal and professional commitment toanti-racism, human rights, and survivor empowerment.

Work Environment: This is a hybrid position with the expectation the candidate come in-person to the downtown DC office (Foggy Bottom) at least one day per week.

COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement: Employees will be required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to attend in-person meetings and events. Accommodations will be granted only where they do not cause undue hardship to the organization.

Essential Physical Requirements:

●Ability to work on a computer for all or part of the workday. The person in this position must be able to communicate via phone, video, and email.

●Working set, core hours, Monday through Friday.

●Travel at least once or twice per year, depending on COVID safety guidelines.

●Ability to attend events that may encompass all or part of the workday.

Compensation: The salary range is $49,000 to $53,000 depending on experience. Benefits include 100% employer-covered medical, dental, and vision health insurance for employees; a SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with a 3% employer match; monthly utility stipend and one-time furniture stipend for remote employees; 120 hours of annual leave and 100 hours of wellness leave (pro-rated for the first year); 11 holidays and a week-long Winter Break at the end of the year.

The final salary offer will be contingent upon an organizational compensation analysis and equity review.   2. Top candidates will move forward to a 1-hour interview with Tatiana Torres, Housing Project Associate Manager, Karen Romero, Senior Director of Training, and Jean Bruggeman, Executive Director.
  3. References will be requested only for top candidates.
  4. Estimated start date August 16, 2023.
