Job Description

We’re growing and we are looking to add a part-time Operations Coordinator (IT) to our fast-paced and customer-oriented People Operations team.
This role oversees the day-to-day operations of our team’s internal IT needs as it relates to their computers and use of company software tools (ie. Slack, Google). While there are some areas in which technical knowledge is required, a strong operations professional will be able to quickly learn and apply the basics, and has the troubleshooting skills to resolve ad hoc issues. Our People Operations team (not IT professionals) currently oversee these day-to-day operations.
Location: We’re a remote-first company with our HQ in East Austin which is home to our hardware inventory. Because of this, we are looking for someone living near Austin, TX. This role is primarily remote, but weekly visits to our HQ for hardware management will be necessary.
Hours: 15 hours per week (M-F) between the hours of 11am-4pm CST

In the Operations Coordinator (IT) role, you will:
Hardware:
  • Keep us secure. Partner with our Engineering Security team to ensure security alerts are resolved.
  • Own the management of all company hardware (primarily laptops). You’ll physically manage our inventory, procure/retire devices as needed, and set up computers for team member use (setting up computers is a simple process you will be trained on).
  • Maintain hardware fleet. Track device statuses in our device management software, review/adjust device profile settings as needed, and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
Software:
  • Own the management of all company software (online SaaS tools like Google and Slack). From account settings to user management and streamlining how they work, you’ll own the administration and effectiveness of the internal software tools used across the organization.
  • Relationship management. You’ll act as the operational point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders for many of our company’s most important tools.
Team Member Support:
  • Day-to-Day Support. Support team members by resolving their day-to-day IT questions submitted via our internal ticket system.
  • Training. Manage our IT training programs via our internal IT and security training tool.
