The Admissions Office is seeking an Operations Assistant - Admissions (Data Management Technician CL2) for our Gorham Campus. We welcome the opportunity to speak with you about this opportunity!

The Operations Assistant will perform a wide variety of administrative duties in support of daily operations, including written and verbal communication, familiarity with multiple systems, applications and databases, records maintenance, and participating with special projects. The ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgement, provide excellent customer service, and work independently and in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail are essential. The work is primarily routine in nature with specific goals and objectives, and the ability to manage multiple tasks, to prioritize, and work in a diverse environment with interruptions, will be important for a successful candidate in this role.


This position provides a terrific opportunity to pursue a Bachelor's or advanced degree through the university's generous tuition waiver benefit, which includes graduate school and Law.


The starting rate of pay will be $19.02/hour for a new hire or the appropriate transfer rate for a current employee with the University of Maine System. This position is located on our Gorham Campus.

Qualifications


Required:


  • Six months of relevant training and 2+ years of data processing experience.
  • Knowledge of computer use and software applications, especially in word processing and database management.
  • One of the following: high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent international education.
