Purpose/Scope of Role: The On-Premise Manager in Tennessee is responsible for outstanding execution in the on-premise across Tennessee and assists in the attainment of the market-level channel plan. This role will be directly responsible for assigned key influential customer accounts. In addition, this role will lead all aspects of a team of outside agency specialists assigned to the region. This person will lead in the communication and execution of the channel marketing initiatives plans across the market.


Role, Key Deliverables


  • Joint Business Planning with Customers & Distributors.
  • Financial Management – Local A&P and T&E
  • Distributor Engagement.
  • Assist in National Strategy & Segmentation Adherence in region
  • Drive On-premise Execution. Pods & Menus for the state.
  • Regional Account Management.
  • Wiring across functions (Performance Directors, Activation Managers, etc.)
  • Assist in Channel Plan Attainment in the market.


Role, Key Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with central on-premise Strategy and Marketing Directors for any market needs and opportunities, and act as the overall in-market field authority to the central on-premise team
  • Communicates all channel programming/initiatives to local teams to ensure understanding & gain feedback
  • Work cross-functionally to assist in the local allocation of resources, such as trade, A&P, and incremental spending.
  • Accountable for the key must-win account relationships in the region
  • Build and assist in Diageo’s On-premise plan for spirits in the specified market in conjunction with the Regional Director On-Premise and local distributor teams
  • Drive connectivity between distributor, local accounts & agency team to align overall goals and programming plans
  • Accountable for actively identifying and communicating gaps/opportunities of the channel plan to their respective Regional Director On-Premise.
  • First point of contact for any issues/challenges/opportunities at the market level


Qualifications And Experience Required


  • Distributor experience/management a plus
  • Experience working across a diverse beverage alcohol distributor network preferred (Open, Control and Franchise states)
  • College graduate with demonstrated ability
  • Direct on-premise/customer experience preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication and influencing skills are required
  • Expected to be very self-motivated and goal-oriented
