Nutrition Support Clinical Dietitian Ii

The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics department of Food & Nutrition is seeking a Dietitian II As part of the Advanced Nutrition Support Team.

• Educate medical staff, medical students, and dietetic students.
• Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy to Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) and complicated enteral nutrition adult patients.
• Participate as a member of the medical care team performing Nutrition Focused Physical Exams.

Salary: $52,000 - $95,000

Required Qualifications

• Must demonstrate experience working effectively in a diverse environment
• 3-5 years of clinical nutrition experience
• Experience in making enteral and parenteral recommendations and selecting appropriate formulas
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Master’s Degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Certifications

• Licensure by the State of Iowa is required
• Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration is required
• A Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) certification is desirable or must be willing to obtain within the first year of employment
