Clinical Nutrition Technician Jobs

Join Pentec Health, we are hiring a remote Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) to support our Renal Dietitians.

The Clinical Nutrition Technician will assist with care of the dialysis patients that are receiving nutrition support. This will include screening nutritional status and follow up on patients that are hospitalized.

Degree in nutrition or dietetics is highly preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Performs such additional tasks as is necessary to ensure the quality of care within the department of Clinical Nutritional
• Supports Clinical Nutrition Education team with Continuing Education administrative activities
• Requests laboratory values from dialysis units and primary care providers for patient monitoring and referrals; enters data into patient management system
• In coordination with the clinical renal nutrition team, educates on general questions regarding IDPN/IPN
• Assists with the Pentec oral nutrition supplementation programs, including, but not limited to responding to information requests, determining patient qualification, and screening for patient appropriateness.
• Assists with patient retention efforts, such as hospitalization management and transfer inquiries

Skills, Competencies and Experience:

Required

• Able to work autonomously and make independent decisions within generally accepted medical practices, regulations, and guidelines.

• 1-2 years of practical, nutrition related experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

• Experience working remotely
• Experience in renal nutrition, especially in CKD 5 Dialysis, along with experience in dialysis related parenteral nutrition support therapies

Education, Certifications, Trainings:

Required

• B.S. degree in Nutrition or related equivalent, or Associates Degree in Dietetic Technology and Registration with Commission on Dietetic Registration

• Intermediate computer skills with programs such as Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
