Outpatient Clinical Dietitian I - Irl ($5,000 Sign-On Incentive - For Hires New To Ui)

The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics department of Food & Nutrition is seeking a Dietitian I to use Nutrition Care Process to assess, evaluate, and provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and nutrition counseling for patients in program areas as assigned. This position will be located at Iowa River Landing

Limited Time Incentive Available: selected candidate is eligible for a one time sign-on incentive of $5,000. Current UI employees are not eligible.

• Use Nutrition Care Process to assess, evaluate, and provide medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling for adult and geriatric outpatients at the University of Iowa's Iowa River Landing clinic
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and develop nutritional components of care
• Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the patient’s status according to age
• Teach and precept masters students in our Master of Clinical Nutrition Program

Salary: $45,622 - $80,000

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must demonstrate experience working effectively in a diverse environment

Certifications

• Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration is required
• Licensure by the State of Iowa is required
