Provides in-services and continuing educational (CE) programs to branch staff and external referral sources, serving as a nutrition support SME

5+ years of clinical nutritional support experience

Certification in Nutrition Support by ASPEN

Trains dietetic interns, other students, and health care professionals by planning, implementing, supervising and evaluating clinical experiences and/or teaching classes.

The responsibilities listed are a general overview of the position and additional duties may be assigned.

Conducts nutrition outcomes research in area of clinical practice and/or conducts or participates in collaborative nutrition investigational research.

Provide individual and team nutrition education and counseling to enhance the performance of student athletes year-round

Education: Baccalaureate degree in nutrition or related field. A Master's degree in Nutrition is preferred.

Minimum of 1-year experience working with the elderly

Leads electronic menu management system implementation, training, maintenance, and measurement

Five (5) years of experience working in Foodservice or equivalent in a highly regulated field

Experience providing nutrition education in a public health setting.

Conducts training to provide knowledge and understanding of work processes to ensure compliance with procedures and standards.

Participates in the education and training of the general public, patients, clients, and/or their families.

Valid license to practice Dietetics/Nutrition from another state with requirement to obtain Alabama licensure within 90 days of hire.

Experience assessing nutritional needs of individuals in various life stages (e.g., infants, children, pregnant women).

Knowledge of basic nutrition (e.g., healthy food choices).

Minimum one year of working experience in health care related field.
