About the job

Quality, efficiency, and safety all play a big role in our work at Danone. Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for the Supply Chain team. We are currently looking to hire a Logistics and Performance Manager based in Rockville Maryland! This role is fully remote with the opportunity to work from a home office. Limited travel required (10%-20%).


In this role, you will be responsible for:


  • You will be a cultural change leader by organizing, leading, and developing a direct team, including developing succession plans
  • You will Design and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and adopting automation
  • You will have responsibility for the management of all physical flows (raw, packs, semi-finished or finished products) including traceability for all channels (Business to Business and Business to consumers and HCP’s) in the specialized nutrition space
  • You will own all virtual and physical inventory processes and value chain, from the time product arrives at our facilities to the time it is in our customers’ hands
  • You will define and implement the physical distribution strategy (insourcing or outsourcing, number/location of warehouses, transportation means, distribution schemes etc.) and ensure that it not only meets all customer contractual terms, but removes defects and customer friction points
  • You will Develop reporting suites that give the business meaningful insights to make decisions quickly
  • You will own all 3P logistics and warehousing relationships and improve reliability and cost effectiveness through co-negotiation with suppliers (in relation with internal buyers)

The base compensation range for this position is $101,512 to $140,000 commensurate with experience. About you

About You:

  • You will have a bachelor’s degree (Masters Degree preferred)
  • You will have 10+ years experience in managing 3rd party logistics providers and distributors
  • You will have strong experience in developing and implementing supply chain strategies as well as value creation initiatives
  • You have experience in medical nutrition or consumer packaged goods
  • You will have proficiency in order and inventory management
  • You will have extensive knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) as well knowledge of Power BI – Experience with SAP heavily preferred
  • You will have great project management and cross functional team management
