Nurse Regional Director Jobs

Compensation: $74,235.20/annually

Responsible for the effective operation of the Medication clinics in the region assigned. Supervises outpatient nursing staff and provides program oversight and development for the nursing function in various sites throughout the assigned region. Works in conjunction with Residential Directors to provide nursing supervision and guidance.

This is a full-time benefit eligible position, working Monday-Friday and some Saturdays as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC

• Provides orientation to new office and residential nurses
• Requires effective verbal and written communication skills
• Serves as a resource person to community nurses, medical staff, and other related professional staff in the provision of patient treatment plans
• Adheres to Nurse Practice Act and ensures nurses, under supervision, practice within their scope of practice
• Insure appropriate documentation and billing of appropriate services
• Maintains current knowledge of nursing practices
• Selects applicants for interviews and keeps open position filled in a timely manner
• Communicates client disease management needs to Healthcare Home Managers and staff
• Follow professional and corporate ethical standards
• Provides leadership, guidance, and direction to office nurses and residential nurses, as assigned
• Works with Residential Director to identify and provide ongoing education to nursing staff
• Completes performance evaluations in accordance with organizational protocol
• Provides coverage in assigned regional outpatient clinics, as necessary
• Other duties as assigned
• Coordinates metabolic screening initiative for patients in assigned region
• Ensures availability and operation of necessary equipment and supplies for client care

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

• Ensures progress and development is made toward departmental strategic plan goals
• Time card management – manages time sheets
• Completes performance development/AIM process
• Oversees day-to-day operations and tasks of supervisees

WORKING CONDITIONS & EXPOSURE RISK

• Regular exposure to biohazard waste materials
• Regular exposure to blood and/or body fluids
• Operating vehicles or machinery

Job Requirements

Associate's degree in nursing required

Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred

• At least one (1) year of management experience preferred
• Experience in mental health preferred
