Job Profile Summary: Join our busy and collaborative groups providing comprehensive and distinct complement of services designed to meet the unique healthcare needs of women throughout their lives, including adolescence, puberty, adulthood, menopause, and senior care. Our Nurse Practitioner Provides help with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations as part of a physician/nurse team. This NP will support patients at Eagan Women's Health and Bandana Square Clinics.

Principle Responsibilities

• Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management.
• Provides direct patient care to women which may include specializing in areas of general medicine, the reproductive system, pregnancy and childbirth.
• Full time clinic work with weekend rounding on post-partum patients (1:5 or 1:6).
• Works collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being.
• Reviews patient's medical history while collecting, prioritizing, and synthesizing comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Provides direct care for obstetric and gynecology patients.
• Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or workflows.
• Practices in a thoughtful manner including consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy and legal responsibilities.

Practice details:

• Eight labor and delivery locations; 13,800 deliveries/year; 30 clinics; 53 OBGYNs; 21 OB hospitalists; 13 Clinical Nurse Midwives, 11 Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists, 2 fetal interventionalists.
• Nursing Support programs for Rx refills, triage and pap results
• Split position between Eagan Women's Health and Woodbury Clinics
• Mentorship/learning from a group of 80+ providers across our health system
• Excellian, our EMR, is a software product from Epic and is considered one of the most comprehensive systems in the nation.
• Quaternary hospital: Abbott Northwestern, Lv IV NICU; Tertiary hospitals - Mercy and United with level III NICUs, and 6 regional hospitals
• After hours answering service support
• Weekend rounding to help support our physician practice

Job Requirements

• Women's health nurse practitioner and or women's health/OB/GYN experience preferred
• BLS Tier 2 - required within 180 Days
• Certified Nurse Practitioner - ANCC - American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) required certification within specialty upon hire
• Drug Enforcement Administration upon hire required
• Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire
• Master's degree Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program
