Summary:

The Network Security Zero Trust Engineer Expert provides technical and engineering expertise for the Cyber Security Department. Will need to demonstrate their expertise on provisioning, supporting, and ongoing maintenance of cybersecurity platforms, applications, and services and specifically a cloud-based Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solution. The position is responsible for providing and implementing the technological solutions and configurations that are in alignment with the overall enterprise cyber security strategy and objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct security engineering necessary to maintain the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of enterprise data and information systems.
• Provide excellent customer service for internal and external customers in support of security initiatives, incident response, and support.
• Participate in the day-to-day security operations monitoring and response from the Cyber Security Operations Center.
• Effectively present the SASE solution via live presentations to end users and application support teams.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Maintenance of security tools and technologies throughout an enterprise environment.
• Take ownership of the technical enablement of the SASE solution for effective implementations, building policy for end-users and troubleshooting issues, while building a partnering community atmosphere.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5 - 8 years of operational experience with security technologies.
• 5 - 8 years of implementing or utilizing technology lifecycles and best practices.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills including the ability to interact, communicate and build relationships with technical staff.
• Advanced knowledge of networking and network security technologies such as firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, SDN technologies and Security/Trust Zones.
• 5 - 8 years of production support and design of network security technologies.
• Effective working independently and in a team setting.
• Associate's Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience collaborating and working within Agile Scrum teams.
• Strong background in operating system administration (LINUX and Windows).
• Advanced Network troubleshooting skills utilizing packet capture/analysis packages such as Wireshark, TCPdump, etc.
• Strong level of knowledge of core networking protocols including BGP, DNS, HTTP/S, DNS, etc.
• Experience with a cloud-based SASE technology such as ZScaler or iBoss.
• Working knowledge with API and basic programming methodologies; preference for (Power Shell, Python, BASH, etc.).
• Working engineering knowledge of Cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Knowledge of security threats, solutions, and security tools & technologies (SIEMs, Network, Incident Response, SOC workflows).
• Understanding of DevOps (automation and orchestration) tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
• Advanced understanding and familiarity with desktop and server virtualization platforms, including container solutions.
  • Strong background in operating system administration (LINUX and Windows).
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as MITRE, NIST, CIS, PCI DSS, etc.
