Job Description

Seeking an National Sales Manager to work in Atlanta location or home office.

leader in the design and supply of dynamic digital display solutions incorporating fully graphic electronic shelf labels (ESLs). We help retailers optimise revenues and margins by improving the customer experience at the shelf-edge, where most purchasing decisions are made.

enable retailers to control and drive in-store pricing and promotions with speed, agility and consistency. Fully graphic and available in three colours, the ESLs can display product, price, promotion, stock levels, social reviews, currency details and much more. ESLs are part of an architecture designed in partnership with retailers to be enterprise ready. The trusted platform is simple to install and needs the least amount of in-store hardware of any vendor. The wireless network is secure and the robust cloud based managed service utilising Cloud software enables the centralised management of any number of ESLs, across any number of stores.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

Reporting directly the CEO, the SVP Sales & Marketing is responsible for the achievement of assigned objectives for sales both direct and channel plus associated profitability, whilst supporting the achievement of strategic objectives of other functional areas within the Company.

Key Accountabilities

  • Commercial execution, growing sales to existing customers and driving new customer wins
  • Enhancing the marketing function and activities that support the sales objectives
  • Developing and executing the sales strategy to take to a market leadership position in the USA, Canada and Europe
  • Working closely with the executive team to deliver business goals and key metrics.
  • Inspiring the sales and marketing team with the commitment and belief in the company’s future success.
  • Growing the sales team and driving continuous improvement

Key Responsibilities – Sales Leadership

  • Develop and drive effective marketing to support the sales team and promote the business
  • Ensure the sales team are focused and measured to meet both revenue and margin goals.
  • Implement robust and scalable sales processes to deliver continuous improvement in the visibility and predictability of sales performance. This will include bid management, account planning, pipeline management and forecasting.
  • Continually review and prioritise the opportunity base through a deep understanding of market trends and the competitive landscape.
  • Develop and execute the sales strategy to maximise the market opportunity for the company – short and long-term.
  • Develop the direct and channel strategy, to ensure that commercial success is optimised. This will include expanding the existing channel partnerships and direct prospects.
  • Where appropriate, be personally responsible for negotiating and closing strategic contracts and building top level relationships with customers & partners.

  • Develop the company culture towards stronger market and growth orientation.
  • Provide leadership to the Sales team, whilst fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Integrate into the company, whilst being clearly recognised as the executive sales leader.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the marketing function
  • Provide regular mentoring, development and training opportunities for the team to ensure that capabilities and skills increase in time and as the business expands.

Communication – Internal and External

  • Act as a highly visible external spokesman and ‘evangelist’ for the business and ensuring that the organisation is appropriately represented on all key/relevant partnerships and forums.
  • Keep all sales employees informed of the company strategy and its performance against the agreed goals.



PERSON SPECIFICATION

Knowledge / Experience

  • Experience of leading teams selling multi $million software/solutions through direct and indirect channels.
  • Passion for hands-on sales and sales management.
  • Possess a strong personal network and detailed knowledge of the retail sector.
  • Able to contribute strategically to the wider business beyond “just” sales.
  • A track record in converting businesses with proven technology at trial / demonstration project stage into long term revenue streams as part of corporate customer roll-outs leading to a successful exit or outcome.
  • A proven track record of successfully leading sales team in a complex sales environment.
  • Experience of managing sales across global markets in a business to business technology sales environment.
  • A talented senior sales leader with a track record of high-performance that demonstrates success in fast growing technology businesses operating in multiple locations.
  • Proven ability to manage rapid sales order growth - ideally will have scaled a business from $10 million to $100 million and beyond.
  • Proven ability to evangelise new products and articulate the value proposition through coordinated marketing
