Music Teacher (All Instruments)

Doorstep Music Lessons, a leading provider of in-home music education, is seeking passionate and talented Music Teachers to join our team on any instrument. As a Music Teacher, you will have the opportunity to share your love for music with students of all ages and skill levels, providing personalized lessons in the comfort of their own homes. We offer lessons for a wide range of instruments, including piano, guitar, violin, voice/singing, accordion, banjo, bass guitar, bassoon, brass, cello, clarinet, composition, double bass, drums, euphonium, fiddle, flute, French horn, harmonica, mandolin, mellophone, music production, music theory, oboe, organ, percussion, recorder, saxophone, trumpet, tuba, and ukulele.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one music lessons to students in their homes
• Prepare students for recitals and other performance opportunities
• Instruct students on proper playing techniques, musical theory, and performance skills
• Maintain regular communication with students and their families to track progress and address any concerns
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages creativity and musical growth
• Create individualized lesson plans based on student's goals, interests, and skill level

Requirements:

• Experience working with children is a plus, but not required
• Teaching experience is a plus, but not required
• Proficiency in one or more musical instruments (based on student demand)
• Strong passion for music and a desire to inspire others
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Music preferred, but not required
• Reliable transportation to travel to students' homes for lessons
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate students of varying ages and skill levels
• Students completing their Bachelor's degree in Music are also encouraged to apply
