Mental Health Worker | Behavioral Health Tech

Montare Behavioral Health is currently looking for Mental Health Workers for our Mental Health program in Sherman Oaks!

This position is responsible for providing direct service to clients, and for facilitating the smooth day-to-day operation of the program. This position collaborates as a member of the multidisciplinary team (Treatment Team) to deliver effective treatment.

AVAILABILITY: We are currently looking for the following

• AM & PM Shifts
• Full Time
• Must be available weekends and holidays if needed.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure the facility is clean, safe and in compliance at all times
• Review treatment plan goals with clients regularly and support clients in accessing community resources
• Maintain appropriate boundaries with clients at all times
• Other duties as assigned by the leadership team
• Assist with intakes, orient the clients to the facility and ensure they understand the rules of the program.
• Prepare and facilitate groups as assigned and lead clients in organized activities
• Ensure clients attend all scheduled groups and therapy sessions as scheduled
• Assist clients in self administration of prescribed medication as needed
• Administer drug and alcohol screenings on clients as needed
• Conduct rounds, room checks, safety checks on a scheduled basis
• Complete all charts, program documentation, medication management, shift/crossover reports, incident reports and other forms and reports according to company policies
• Attend offsite activities such as meetings, gym, doctor appointments, etc.
• Provide effective crisis intervention as needed and teach independent living skills effectively
• Enforce and monitor cell phone usage, curfews, visitation hours, resident chore schedule
• Complete at least 20 hours of continuing education per year

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record and personal automobile insurance.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player. Excellent communication skills both oral and written
• High School graduate or possess a GED. Coursework in counseling, psychology, or social work preferred.
• Experience working with in Mental Health preferred.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Montare Behavioral Health requires employees to be vaccinated with exceptions only as required by law (i.e. medical or religion).
• Hiring is contingent upon completion of a background check, TB test, and clearance on a drug screen and pre-employment physical. Clean driving record and current first aid and CPR certification or willing to obtain upon hire. Additional requirements include receiving DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance or an exemption and a submission of a signed Criminal Record Statement (LIC 508). Clean Background is a must.
