Job Description
The Role
TalkNow is a 24/7/365, on-demand telehealth service that exclusively serves the higher education student population. As a full-time TalkNow Provider with TimelyCare, you’ll act as a primary form of support for the students we serve, helping them problem-solve and develop action plans. We are looking for Masters level psychologists, social workers, counselors, and mental health therapists who have worked with populations in need of crisis intervention, de-escalation, risk assessment, and safety planning.

Location:
We offer a remote work environment. Work from Home criteria include but are not limited to maintaining your own internet with approved speed requirements, secure workspace free from distractions, and successful completion of the credentialing, onboarding, and training programs. Adherence to HIPAA and governmental compliance are required in this role.

What You'll Do

  • Participate in the quality assurance investigations to gather all applicable facts
  • Support the Director of Mental Health with client-facing related activities
  • Adhere to established standards for AIDET, clinical documentation quality, HIPAA/PHI and telehealth regulation
  • Collaborate with students to develop care plans and safety planning if needed
  • Act as a primary counselor & triage for incoming TalkNow sessions (via phone or video), supporting students with a student-centered, strengths-based approach
  • Provide triage support and crisis intervention, de-escalation, and risk assessments as needed for students using TalkNow services
  • Appropriately document sessions, assessments, and care plans in our EHR

What You Bring

  • Minimum of a master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or marriage & family therapy is required
  • Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner with NC state license - PLUS
  • Strong clinical writing, assessment, and active listening skills
  • Depending on shift - Ability to provide coverage during weekends and overnights

The salary range for this opportunity is $45,000 - $50,000 for an unlicensed provider, and $55,000 - $65,000 for a licensed provider per year, depending on education, experience, and licensing. This is the base pay, and you will be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to the base pay.
